DA VINCI AMERICAN HORSE

You follow a little path into a small valley and as
you approach the horse begin to feel like a Lilliputian. It is amazing to experience
the size and power of the sculpture.
It is worth the trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan to see the American Horse which was created
from the same mold as the da Vinci horse that was donated to Italy. The difference is
that the Italian horse is on a platform, but this one was is on the ground and is
touchable and you can even walk under it.
I have included links to the two main sites about the horses that have all the details of
their history and construction. Below are some of the photos I took in November, 1999
of the American Horse.
